The metadata information for the 1996-1999 sample datasets can be found in two locations, which are described below.

The metadata information for Data & Maps 1996-1999 is located in the ArcView Help. Select Help Topics from the Help menu. Then, click on the Context tab and double-click the topic entitled 'Data that comes with ArcView'.

The metadata information for Data & Maps 1998 and 1999 can also be found as the esridata.hlp file on CD-ROM 1 of the dataset. Insert CD 1 into the drive and double-click esridata.hlp. Then, click the Contents tab and double-click the topic entitled 'Data that comes with ArcView'.
