Can MapObjects read NITF images?

Answer

MapObjects can read some NITF images.

MapObjects only supports uncompressed and 8-bit JPEG compressed NITF 2.0 files. If the image uses another compression, or if the image has been rotated, MapObjects will not display the image.

The NITF reader within MapObjects has not been certified by ERDAS.
