PROBLEM
ArcScene: Use of joined field for raster symbology creates invalid layer
Description
When opening a scene document containing a raster layers symbolized on a joined field, the layer will not display. Subsequent opening of the Symbology tab on the layer's Properties dialog box results in application failure.
Cause
This is a known issue.
Solution or Workaround
Do not symbolize rasters via joined fields in a scene. Instead, add the field to the raster's VAT.Article ID:000004456
