Why does coverage splined annotation display differently in ArcInfo 8.1 than in previous versions?

Answer

Annotation splined along an arc, with three or more points, displays differently with ArcGIS 8.1 in comparison to earlier versions. This occurs for features with a text justification of UR, CR, and LR.

This is a known issue and has been addressed in ArcGIS Version 8.1.2.
