PROBLEM

Image service selected features are not drawn in ArcMap

Description

Selected features in a image service sub-layer do not get drawn. The status bar in ArcMap indicates features are selected.

Cause

This happens when the sub-layer visibility has been set to FALSE in the AXL file.

Solution or Workaround

This has been resolved in ArcGIS Version 8.1.2.

In ArcGIS 8.1, to see the selected features in a sub-layer:

  1. Right-click the sub-layer.
  2. Point to Selection and click Create Layer From Selected Features.
