Data added to a group layer adds in reverse order of data added with Add Data button

Description

In ArcMap, when adding several layers to a group layer at once, the order of layers of the same feature class is the opposite of adding the same layers at once as standalone layers in the map.

Cause

Layers are added in reverse order when adding several layers at once to a group layer.

Solution or Workaround

• Add your layers to the group layer one by one.
• After adding several layers to a group layer at once, use the Group Layer dialog box to reorder them.
