Error: ORA-13224: specified index name is too long for a spatial index
This DBMS error occurs when attempting to register as versioned:
ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine.
ORA-13224: specified index name is too long for a spatial index.
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD", line 8.
ORA-06512: at line 1. (MDSYS.SPATIAL_INDEX)[GIS.TRM_RR_CROSS_CO01_GEOM].
The name of the spatial index exceeds the 18 character limit. This is an Oracle Spatial limitation. Note, two of those characters are used for appending the "_A" characters. For a more detailed explanation, see the Related Information section below.
Solution or Workaround
Limit spatial index names to 16 characters.
