Abnormal Termination
Error Message
When the map display is at a very large scale, and its data frame has been rotated, creating a new feature may cause ArcMap to crash with an Abnormal Termination error message.
Cause
A known issue with the internal geometry subsystem of ArcGIS.
Solution or Workaround
A work-around for this issue is to zoom out to a smaller scale when creating new features, or reset the dataframe rotation to zero.
