Attempting to set the default junction of an Edge-Junction connectivity rule in a geometric network produces this error:
"Failed to add the rule to the geometric network. Default junctions not supported in this release of the Geodatabase."
The geodatabase version is pre-ArcGIS 8.1.
Enhancements were made to Connectivity rules and Geometric Networks in ArcGIS 8.1, which require upgrading the geodatabase. For a list and a detailed description of the enhancements, consult the online help.
For ArcGIS 8.1:
Working with geodatabases >
Introduction to geodatabases >
Upgrading your geodatabase to 8.1
For later releases see the What's new in ArcGIS section of the Desktop Help.
For ArcGIS 8.2 and earlier releases, add the 'Upgrade geodatabase' command to ArcCatalog with the Customize dialog. Select the geodatabase to upgrade and click the command.
For ArcGIS 8.3 and subsequent releases, right-click on the geodatabase and click Properties. Select the General tab and click Upgrade Personal Geodatabase. The geodatabase will be upgraded to the current release.
