Atlas GIS: General Protection Fault

Error Message

When working in a table, the following error occurs:

General Protection Fault

Cause

The size of one or more fields in the .dbf table is too large.

Solution or Workaround

1. Open the table in Atlas.
2. Select Define Columns from the Table menu.
3. Select the table to edit.
4. Check the size definition for one or more columns.
5. Decrease the number defined for the column character size.
6. Click the OK button.
