Associate keyboard shortcuts with ArcView menu items

Summary

You can use the Customize dialog box to associate keyboard shortcuts with ArcView menu items.

Procedure

1. Select Customize from the Project menu.
2. Select the GUI name from the Type dropdown list and select Menu from the Category dropdown list.
3. Select a menu item and double-click in the Shortcut field at the bottom of the Customize dialog box.
   
   

   Note:
   The Shortcut choice only appears in the Customize dialog box when a menu item is selected. You can not set a Shortcut for menu names. 

   
   
4. Select a keyboard shortcut from the Picker dialog and click OK.
   
   

   Note:
   The Del, Esc, and F2 keys do not work as accelerator keys.
