Error: Records Can Not Be Read. No Read Permissions on TABLE

Error Message

This error occurs when trying to make an SQL connection to an Microsoft Access database:

SQL WARNING

[Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access 97 driver]

Records can't be read No read permissions on TABLE_NAME.

Cause

Access database is secured. You can not connect to secured Access databases from ArcView.

Solution or Workaround

Remove security from the Access database. For more details on this, see the 'secured databases' topic in Access Help.
