Unknown Object 'DwgSrc 1003' in Project

Error Message

This error occurs when attempting to load a layout:

Unknown Object "DwgSrc.1003" in Project "c:\$HOME\template.def"

Cause

The default template file references a CAD data source.

Solution or Workaround

There are two possible solutions to the eliminate the error.

  • Turn on the CAD reader.
  • Delete the template.def file from your $HOME directory.
