FAQ: Why Does the SE_shape_generate_buffer Function Fail with a -1 SE

Answer

The SE_shape_generate_buffer function returns a -1 when the x,y units are set to 1000000. This is caused by an internal four-integer unit that is collapsing the polygons.

To work around this problem, use a different system unit value when creating the data.
