HOW TO

Change the 'Maximum raster table creation size'

Last Published: April 26, 2020

Summary

The default 'Maximum tables creation size' for rasters without previously built tables is 2048 (number of rows). You may find this number to be too small, and there is currently no mechanism in the interface to control this. You can, however, use the Advanced ArcMap Settings sample utility to control this setting.

Procedure

  1. Install the Advanced ArcMap Settings tool, if you have not already done so.

See: How To: Install the Advanced ArcMap Settings tool
  2. Run the tool and click the Raster tab.
  3. Select one of the choices in the Maximum Table Size section:
    • Normal (2,048 rows)
    • Large (4,096 rows)
