Upon installation of ArcView 3.1, this error occurs:

An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated. _inso432._mp.exe exception access violation (0xc0000005), address 0x77a91e09.

Cause

Conflict with Service Pack.

Solution or Workaround

Upgrade to Windows NT 4 Service Pack 5.

Note:
 ArcView 3.1 has not been tested on Service Pack 6 and above.
