Stopping a 'Move to End of Table' process freezes ArcMap

Description

Hitting the Escape key to stop the 'Move to End of Table' process can freeze ArcMap.

Cause

This process may take a long time to complete if the layer has a large number of records (500,000 +).

Solution or Workaround



Wait a few minutes for the process to stop.
