Feature classes that participate in relationships sometimes are slow to use in ArcMap

Description

When working with feature classes that participate in relationships with other feature classes or tables in the geodatabase, navigating those relationships is sometimes slow.

Cause

The related class should always be in the map, or editing performance will decrease.

Solution or Workaround

1. Click the Source tab on the table of contents.
2. Right-click the database icon.
3. Click Add Table.
