ArcMap Field Calculator doesn't support decimal symbol substitution

Description

The Field Calculator will not process numbers according to the settings in Microsoft Windows Start Menu > Control Panel > Regional Options > Numbers Tab, even though ArcMap will Display numbers according to these settings

Cause

The Field Calculator uses VB Script and VBA, which don't support decimal substitution.

Solution or Workaround



A decimal must be represented with a period ( . ) character.
