Not enough memory

Error Message

ArcDoc returns the error message either at start up or when the find tab is selected:

"Not enough memory."

Cause

The file WinHelp uses to index the help system is corrupted.

Solution or Workaround

1. Use Windows Explorer to view all hidden file types.
   
   
   Windows NT:
   A. Click View > Folder Options.
   B. Select the View tab.
   C. Check the 'Show all files' option.
   
   Windows 2000:
   A. Click Tools > Folder Options.
   B. Select the View tab.
   C. Check the 'Show hidden files and folders' option.
   
   
2. Find and delete %ARCHOME%\help\arcinfo.gid
