Incorporate data from the ESRI Data & Maps CDs into a project

Summary

The ESRI Data & Maps CDs contain geographic/spatial data that can be incorporated into any ArcView project.

Procedure

1. Place the CD in the CD-ROM drive.
2. Click the Add Theme button in your ArcView project.
3. Navigate to your CD-ROM drive and open the folder from which you would like to load the data.
   
   It is suggested you check the help file located on the second CD, as it contains a metadata file for each data set that provides content, quality, condition, projection information, description of field names, and other characteristics of the data set. The help file also provides help topics on what is new, the directory structure, and redistribution rights regarding the data in the multi-CD media kit.
