Error opening project: "retained" is an invalid key
Error Message
When you attempt to load the MoView2 sample into Visual Basic 5.x, the following error may appear:
Error opening project: "retained" is an invalid key.
Cause
The "retained" key was added at VB6 and is not recognized by VB5.
Solution or Workaround
The following steps should make it possible to load MoView2 in VB5. However, be aware that other problems may arise due to the fact that MoView2 was written in VB6.- Open MoView2.vbp in Notepad.
- Search for the "retained".
- Delete the line: "Retained=0".
- Save and close the file.
