Error: Automation Error When Setting up Geocoder

Error Message

When attempting to set the StandardizingRules property of the Standardizer, the following error message is received:

Automation Error: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.

Cause

One or more required support files are missing from the directory containing the StandardizingRules file.

Solution or Workaround

When deploying MO2 applications that use the Geocoder, make sure to include the following support files (found in the GeoRules folder):

  prefix.tbl
  direct.tbl
  expand.tbl
  suffix.tbl
  related *.cls, *.dct, and *.pat files

These files should be included in addition to the *.mat and *.stn files referenced in your code.

Also, make sure all deployed GeoRules files are installed to a single directory on the target machine.
