How To: Add a shapefile in Atlas GIS

Summary

The following steps demonstrate how to add shapefiles from the data and map CDs that come with Atlas GIS. The shapefiles will be converted to Atlas geo files.

Procedure

1. Start Atlas
2. Click File > Open
3. Set Files of type to Shape (.shp)
4. Navigate to your CD ROM Drive
5. Click the three dot button
   
6. Navigate to the location where you want the .agf to reside
7. Give the new file a name
8. Give the layer a name
