ArcView 3.2 upgrade: projects have lost SQL connect functionality

After installing Arcview 3.2 over Arcview 3.1, why don't my Access Database tables show up in the SQL Connect window once I click the Connect button?

Cause:

This is very likely related to a conflict
with the ODBC drivers. When you click on the Add or Configure buttons on the DSN tabs in the ODBC Data Source dministrator Window you get the message "The setup routines for MS Access driver ODBC Driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126" followed by the message "Could not load the setup or translator library".

Answer:

You need to download and install the MDAC.exe program from the Microsoft web
site.
