How To: Update a Customized Project after Having Chosen to Not Update It

Summary

A customized project created in an older version of ArcView was opened in a more recent version but was not updated when prompted.

Procedure

1. Open the project file in a text editor. The first few lines looks like this:

/3.0
(ODB.1
	FirstRootClassName:	"Project"
	Roots:	2
	Version:	31

2. Change the Version number from the current to an older one. In this example: 31 to 30.

3. Save.

4. Reopen the project in ArcView.

5. Allow the Project Updater to update the project.
