Controlling fonts and colors in AML menus (Motif only)

How can the font in an AML menu be changed or set?

Cause:

Answer:

Fonts and colors in AML menus on platforms using MOTIF are controlled using a
file called "Arcinfo". There is a sample Arcinfo file under $ARCHOME/Xenv. To
see how the Arcinfo file works, copy the sample to your home directory. When
you start ARC/INFO and call up a menu, you will see different colors and
perhaps a different font.

More samples are at $ARCHOME/arctools/sysfiles:
Arcinfo_blue_and_green
Arcinfo_gray
Arcinfo_wheat

If you want to use one of these, copy the file to your home directory and
rename the file as Arcinfo.

You can specify different colors and fonts in the Arcinfo file, provided they
are recognized by your system.

Arcinfo*FontList: rock18
