ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server 11.0 Patch 1

Summary

This patch resolves several issues that impact usability of ArcGIS 11.0 Workflow Manager Server. Users upgrading from Workflow Manager Server 10.9.1 to 11.0 should install this patch before upgrading their Workflow Items.

Description

EsriĀ® announces the ArcGIS 11.0 Workflow Manager Server Patch. This patch resolves several issues that impact usability of Workflow Manager Server. This patch is recommended for all users of ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server. This patch deals specifically with the issue listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch with this patch.

This patch should be installed on all Workflow Manager Server machines.

Issues addressed with this Patch

  • BUG-000150060: Run GP Service step with the Visible at Runtime option checked on, fails in ArcGIS Workflow Manager with a highly available deployment.
  • GIT-5157: The addAttachments and addAttachmentsLinked REST calls allow a user to add an attachment to job even when the job template is not shared with that user.
  • GIT-5360: Duplicate layers are created in the WorkflowLocations feature layer on Portal when upgrading from 10.9.1 to 11.0.
  • GIT-5366: Workflow Manager Server caches SMTP settings from first Workflow Item used to send an email notification.

 

Windows installation steps:

  1. ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server must be installed on your system before you can install a patch. Each patch setup is specific to the ArcGIS product. To determine which products are installed on your system, please see the How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed section. Esri recommends that you install the patch for each product that is on your system.

  2. Download the file to a location other than the ArcGIS installation location.
    Workflow Manager Server file: WorkflowManagerServer-11.0-Patch1.msp
    Checksum (SHA256) ed8f49bc51e672950c7eb437b989c4ebe68132e40574bc18926dea849675b27b

  3. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
  4. Double-click the MSP file to start the setup process.
  5. When Setup starts, follow the instructions on your screen.

NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:
msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ WorkflowManagerServer-11.0-Patch1.msp

 

Linux installation steps:

  1. ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server must be installed on your system before you can install a patch. Each patch setup is specific to the ArcGIS product. To determine which products are installed on your system, please see the How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed section. Esri recommends that you install the patch for each product that is on your system.

    Complete the following install steps as the ArcGIS Install owner. The Install owner is the owner of the arcgis folder.

  2. Download the file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.
    Workflow Manager Server file: WorkflowManagerServer-11.0-Patch1.tar.gz
    Checksum (SHA256) ef0a317afa98e71315dbb084a2a831e21970359dc3fdd21f9ac2184c9b8e62f3

  3. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location, and that no one is using ArcGIS.
  4. Extract the tar file by typing:
    % tar -xvf WorkflowManagerServer-11.0-Patch1.tar.gz
  5. If needed, mark the Patch.sh file as executable by typing % chmod +x Patch.sh
  6. Start the installation:
    % ./WorkflowManagerServer/Patch.sh

How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed

To determine which ArcGIS products are installed, choose the appropriate version of the PatchFinder utility for your environment and run it from your local machine. PatchFinder will list all products, hot fixes, and patches installed on your local machine.
