ArcGIS Insights 2020.2 Update Patch

Published: October 22, 2020

Summary

If you are using ArcGIS Insights in an ArcGIS Enterprise setup where ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS are both using web-tier authentication, this patch resolves an issue with editing workbooks. This patch also resolves an issue where users creating a combo chart from different datasets could not synchronize the y-axis.

Description

EsriĀ® announces the ArcGIS Insights 2020.2 Update Patch. This patch resolves an issue with creating workbooks in ArcGIS Insights deployed in a distributed ArcGIS Enterprise setup where ArcGIS Insights and Portal for ArcGIS are installed on different machines and are both using web-tier authentication, such as PKI (Public Key Infrastructure). Without this patch editing workbooks in Insights will fail.

This patch is also required for ArcGIS Insights users wanting to synchronize the y-axis in combo charts created from different datasets in Insights in ArcGIS Enterprise. Without this patch the synchronize axis option is not available in combo charts created from different datasets.

This patch must be applied to each Portal for ArcGIS machine. This patch deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.

Issues Addressed with this patch

  • BUG-000134412 - Arcgis Enterprise 10.8.1 with insights 2020.2 and 2020.3 fails to edit workbooks with 3rd party Web Access Management Providers.
  • BUG-000134124 - In ArcGIS Insight 2020.2, the synchronize y-axis option is not available when using 2 different datasets.
