ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 Geoprocessing Service Orphaned Process Patch

Summary

This patch resolves an issue where geoprocessing services published from ArcGIS Pro, including print services, can leave orphaned processes leading to high memory usage.

Description

Esri® announces the ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 Geoprocessing Service Orphaned Process Patch. In certain scenarios a geoprocessing service executing a job that exceeds the timeout set on the service can fail to unload its process after completing. This causes orphaned processes to be left behind that consume memory and which will not be cleaned up until a reboot of the machine. It is recommended that this patch is installed on all machines in ArcGIS Server sites used for geoprocessing including both out-of-the-box and custom print services. This patch deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.
