ArcGIS Runtime Local Geoprocessing Service Startup Patch
This patch resolves a crash when starting local geoprocessing services after installing specific Microsoft Windows updates on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 SP1.
Description
Esri® announces the ArcGIS Runtime Local Geoprocessing Service Startup Patch. This patch addresses an issue where 64-bit local geoprocessing services, started as type asynchronous (submitJob), crash upon startup after installing Microsoft Windows update KB4056894 or the combination of KB4056568 and KB4056897 on Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 SP1. Without this patch users of your applications cannot use functionality that depends on these local geoprocessing services. While the loss of functionality has only been encountered on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 SP1, Esri encourages all developers deploying applications that use ArcGIS Runtime Local Server on Windows to install this patch during regular application maintenance. This patch deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.
Important Note: After the patch is installed on the development machine, the ArcGIS Runtime Local Server deployment should be rebuilt to include the updated file(s) and re-deployed. Please check your application functionality and ensure all local geoprocessing services have started and are functioning correctly. Alternatively you may choose to only deploy the updated 64-bit "DADFLib.dll" file. This can be found in the SDK installation folder under "arcgisruntime10.2.x\LocalServer64\bin" or "LocalServer100.x\64\bin" and should be deployed to the corresponding location in the ArcGIS Runtime or ArcGIS Runtime Local Server deployment you included with your original application deployment.
Issues Addressed with this patch
