Introduction
Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.4.1 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) SQL Server Quality Improvement Patch. This patch addresses several issues that may occur when connecting to SQL Server geodatabases. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.
Issues Addressed with this patch
- BUG-000099535 - Add query layer dialog will display unprivileged tables when a user has VIEW DEFINITION permission.
- BUG-000099118 - Post failed with error "Error posting version DBO.EDIT.[Attribute column not found [42000:[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]The multi-part identifier "g.cad" could not be bound.]]"
- BUG-000098582 - User names with more than 22 characters in SQL Server crashes ArcMap when selecting more than 100 features.
- BUG-000095963 - Filter non-geodatabase tables/views from a geodatabase connection when a user has the VIEW DEFINITION permission.
- BUG-000095107 - Geodata services do not maintain replicas when failover occurs in a mirrored database environment when mirrored databases are not in the same domain.
- BUG-000095027 - ArcMap stops responding when saving edits on data that is versioned with the option to move edits to base which contains circular arcs.
- BUG-000093110 - Running the Create or Enable Enterprise Geodatabase tool causes ArcMap and ArcCatalog to crash when XACT_ABORT is turned on.
Installing this patch on Windows
Installation Steps:
ArcGIS 10.4.1 for Desktop, Engine or Server must be installed before installing this patch.
- Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.
- Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
- Double-click ArcGIS-1041-<Product>-SSQI-Patch.msp to start the setup process.
NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:
msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-1041-<Product>-SSQI-Patch.msp
