Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.4 for Server Restart Patch. This patch addresses a delay in the availability of ArcGIS for Server services after a restart of the ArcGIS for Server Windows service. It deals specifically with the issue listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.
- BUG-000095679 - After creating an ArcGIS for Server site with more than 250 service instances, a subsequent restart of ArcGIS for Server Windows service takes much longer than expected for all the service instances to come up correctly, which makes it difficult to gauge when the services are ready for consumption.
ArcGIS 10.4 for Server must be installed before installing this patch.
- Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.
- Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
- Double-click ArcGIS-104-S-RS-Patch.msp to start the setup process.
NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:
msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-104-S-RS-Patch.msp
