ArcGIS 9.3.1 (Server Java, Engine Java SDK) MXD Path Editor Patch

Published: May 15, 2009

Summary

This patch adds support for path editing for Map Service Definition (MSD) files.

Description

ESRIĀ® announces the ArcGIS 9.3.1 MXD Path Editor Patch. This patch includes support for path editing for Map Service Definition (MSD) files. We recommend that you download and install this patch at your earliest convenience to ensure the highest quality experience when working with ArcGIS 9.3.1.

ArcMap includes a toolbar and workflow for analyzing and publishing optimized map services using a Map Service Definition (MSD). Using ArcGIS Server, MSDs can be used to publish high performance ArcGIS map services. These optimized map services are new at ArcGIS Server Version 9.3.1 and can support both real-time, dynamic map services as well as cached map services. Refer to the online help to learn about Publishing optimized map services.

Installing the Patch

Since this Patch replaces 9.3.1 files, you must have ArcGIS 9.3.1 installed before you can install this Patch. For the same reason, you shouldn't install it while anyone is using ArcGIS.

Installing this patch on Windows
