Ability to set a fixed extent within the Summary Widget to be utilized when filtering summarized features from the Summary Layer Filter drop-down list.
1. Provide the appropriate/comparable step by step workflow to help illustrate the request.
-Create a web map consuming a feature class containing an attribute field to be filtered by in the Summary Widget in Web AppBuilder.
-Create a Web AppBuilder application consuming the web map.
-Configure the Summary Widget, choosing Summary Layer Filter Field.
*See step #4 within the documentation for reference below.
-Once the widget is configured, change the Summary Layer Filter Field, and observe the extent change with each query/filter.
**The map zooms to the extent of the entire subset of the filtered data instead of keeping the same extent.
**This makes it very difficult to compare two filter categories for the same extent.
**Zooming to the full extent and keeping the search extent are both useful depending on the purpose of the application. Adding an option to choose which zoom option applies to the filter in the summary widget configuration, would make the widget much more usable.
2. What is the problem feature X is trying to solve? (i.e. What is the problem/limitation/design choice that is preventing the customer from moving forward?)
Customer wants users want to only observe data within the state of Texas. They are confused when the extent changes to zoom in on one location outside of Texas, often too zoomed in to realize it is outside of Texas.
3. What are the benefits or changes that would result from the enhancement? (i.e. How does making this change help the customer's workflow or business?)
"Our business would benefit by map users being able to view location information at a consistent extent. Having a consistent extent would avoid confusion and allow us to use the filter feature within the summary widget."
