Additional Information

As currently designed, the Utility Network is an additive model only for subtypes. This is due to historical data and being able to go back in time to view and run analytics on a network at a point in time. If subtypes were deleted, this would create historical problems. The configuration of asset groups and asset types needs to be carefully planned before loading data. One can use the asset package tools to remove unwanted subtypes (and associated rules, categories, etc.), create a Utility Network from that package, and load the data. Once created, the subtypes cannot be removed. To prevent others from using a specific subtype, delete any rules allowing connectivity to that subtype, and remove that layer from the map.
