ArcGIS Maps for Office 4.1 crashes or disappears from the Microsoft ribbon when disabling and re-enabling the Add-In.

Workaround

1. Disable and re-enable the add-in with the Excel document open in ArcGIS Maps for Office.
2. Close the Excel document (if it is open).
3. Remove the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\ArcGIS Maps for Office

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\Addins\ArcGIS Maps for Office
