Non-alphanumeric characters are not recognized as invalid when defining the alias name for a certificate in ArcGIS for Server. The alias name used for a certificate must be validated for invalid characters that may cause server URLs to break.

Workaround

Specify the alias name of the certificate without having to use the colon (:) or forward slash (/) non-alphanumeric characters.
