Bug BUG-000091875
Synopsis
The Feature Envelope To Polygon tool produces gaps in the results if the input is overlapping multipart data.
Additional Information
I have tested the tool and the result seems correct. - Dan Prasanta Bhattarai in Tech Support retested this case and said: I looked at the case notes, defect data and workflow (using 10.4.1). From what I see, output multipart polygon feature from the tool seems to be correct (feature generation wise). The gap that customer and analyst referred to is likely the gaps where the multipart polygon feature overlap. I think it’s more of a display issue rather than gaps in feature/geometry. If we convert the multipart polygon feature as single part, each individual features overlap each other and the white area/gaps are no longer visible.
