The Web AppBuilder on some Android tablets unexpectedly switches to 'Desktop Mode', causing the keyboard on the device to display for a second before disappearing when attempting to provide text input.

Workaround

Changing the orientation of the tablet sometimes allows text inputs to be added using the device keyboard.
