Passwords for built-in portal accounts in Portal for ArcGIS cannot be changed by the user. A new password cannot be entered because when the Change Password option is selected, the message, "Password Changed – Your password has successfully been changed," is displayed.
1. Add a new account and move access to everything over to that account.
2. Delete the old account.
3. Re-add the deleted account and move everything back with a new password.
