FAQ: Is Windows 11 certified with ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap?
Question
Is Windows 11 certified with ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap?
Answer
On October 5, 2021, Microsoft released its latest operating system, Windows 11. The operating system started to roll out to current Windows 10 users that day. Some Esri customers have already upgraded to Windows 11 or plan to move to this operating system version.
As outlined in the Esri Product Life Cycle Policy, we test new environments, including operating systems, for products currently in the General Availability support phase. We have tested Windows 11 for certification on both ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap, and the certification process is complete.
The System Requirements page for the application version in question has been updated.
So far, we have certified the following versions of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop for Windows 11:
- ArcGIS Pro 3.0 (System Requirements)
- ArcGIS Pro 2.9 (System Requirements)
- ArcGIS Pro 2.8 (System Requirements)
- ArcGIS Pro 2.7 (System Requirements)
- ArcMap 10.8.1 and 10.8.2 (System Requirements)
- Note: ArcMap is only certified for Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 Enterprise
