The submitted records are not displayed on the survey Data tab on the ArcGIS Survey123 website

Description

On the ArcGIS Survey123 website, it is possible for survey owners and collaborators with certain privileges to view the results of submitted survey responses on the Data tab. In some instances, when attempting to view submitted records on the survey Data tab on the ArcGIS Survey123 website, the records are not displayed. However, when clicking the features on the map, the records are displayed on the side panel.

Cause

There are one or more field names in the survey table that are too long. The field names in the survey table are determined by the values in the label column of the survey tab in the survey XLSForm.

Solution or Workaround

Choose one of the methods below to resolve the issue.

Hide the field with the long name

  1. Log in to the ArcGIS Survey123 website, and on the My Surveys page, click the survey to open it.
  2. On the survey page, click the Data tab.
  3. On the Data tab, click the button on the top-right corner of the survey's data table. The field names menu opens.

  1. Identify the field name that is too long, and uncheck its check box. The submitted survey records are displayed in the table.

Republish the survey with shorter field name

  1. Open ArcGIS Survey123 Connect.
  2. Create a copy of the survey XLSForm. In the survey XLSForm, click File > Save As. In the Save As window, specify the File name and folder location. Click Save.
  3. In the XLSForm, in the survey tab, shorten the field name in the label column. In this example, the field name is renamed to Superintendent not available. Save the XLSForm.

  1. In ArcGIS Survey123 Connect, create a new survey using the XLSForm file created in Step 3.
  2. Publish the survey. Refer to ArcGIS Survey123: Create and publish a survey for more information.
