The Get Directions button is disabled in the Directions widget in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition)

Description

After configuring the Directions widget in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition), the Get Directions button is disabled and it is not possible to generate a route.

Cause

Although the widget configuration does not return any error, the network analysis service URL being referenced is not complete.

Solution or Workaround

Change the format of the NAServer URL being referenced in the Directions widget by including /Route at the end of the URL to specifically point to the route layer that the Directions widget refers to generate directions.

1. In Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, click the edit icon on the Direction widget to open the configuration options dialog box.
2. In the Route URL parameter, append '/Route' at the end of the URL. For example:

   https://machine/arcgis/rest/services/RouteService/NAServer/Route

3. Click OK.

The Get Directions button is no longer disabled and the Directions widget can be used for finding addresses.
