Release Information for ArcIMS, ArcSDE, and ArcGIS Server Users
Effective April 7, 2025, Esri will stop quoting legacy ArcIMS and ArcSDE maintenance, also referred to as “Migrated Server Maintenance.” Quotes dated prior to April 7, 2025, will be honored for 90 days. Renewal quotes issued on or after April 7, 2025 for legacy ArcIMS and ArcSDE maintenance customers will reflect the then-current maintenance rate for their ArcGIS Server licenses. If you have additional questions regarding how this change affects you, please contact your account team or Esri Customer Service.
This document provides information about how ESRI is migrating customer software licenses and maintenance for ArcGIS Server 9.2.
Both the technology and licensing model for ArcGIS Server have changed considerably compared to earlier releases. Our goal has been to add new functionality and to reduce the cost of deployment on a per seat basis. ESRI will provide each user with an edition of ArcGIS Server 9.2 that most closely matches the capabilities of the existing licensed software. This can be used on the existing licensed hardware with no change in maintenance.
