ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server 11.3 Patch 2 (Windows | Linux)

Summary

ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server 11.3 Patch 2 resolves several issues that impact usability of Workflow Manager Server and is recommended for all users of ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server. 

Issues addressed with this Patch

  • GIT8472: Create View Layer option is unavailable for items that were upgraded to 11.3 final schema version.
  • GIT8215: Unable to create or update extended properties on a job template when internal generated table identifier contains unsupported characters. 
  • GIT8430: Workflow Manager service crashes in HA environments when internal Ignite password contains forbidden characters.

Installing this patch on Windows

Note: Before installing this patch, stop all running Workflow Manager services. After patch installation, restart the services.

ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server must be installed on your system before you can install a patch.

Step 1: Download the file to a location other than your ArcGIS Workflow Manager installation location.

Patch file: WorkflowManagerServer-11.3-Patch2.msp

Step 2: Make sure you have write access to the Workflow Manager Server installation location, and that no one is accessing it.

Step 3: Double-click the MSP file to start the setup process.  When Setup starts, follow the instructions on your screen.

If the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:

msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\WorkflowManagerServer-11.3-Patch2.msp

Installing this patch on Linux

Note: Before installing this patch, stop all running Workflow Manager services. After patch installation, restart the services.

Step 1: Download the patch file to a location other than your ArcGIS Workflow Manager installation location.

Step 2: Log in as the user that installed ArcGIS Server. The Install owner is the owner of the arcgis folder.

Step 3: Make sure you have write access to the ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server installation location, and that no one is using it.

Step 4: Extract the package:  % tar -xvf WorkflowManagerServer-11.3.Patch2.tar.gz

Step 5: If needed, mark the Patch.sh file as executable:  % chmod +x Patch.sh

Step 6: Start the installation process:  % ./WorkflowManagerServer/Patch.sh
