ArcGIS Server 11.2 Production Mapping Topographic Production Service Patch


Esri announces the ArcGIS Server 11.2 Production Mapping Topographic Production Service Patch. This patch resolves issues that affect cartographic processes used by Production Mapping Topographic Production Service. This patch is recommended for users of ArcGIS Server 11.2 who are using the production mapping topographic production service. This patch deals specifically with the issues under Issues Addressed with this Patch.

Issues addressed with this patch

  • BUG-000167874 - Cannot connect to service or site deemed safe to connect to when using updateProduct.
  • BUG-000167867 - Generate Topographic Contours is not working with certain rasters on server.
  • BUG-000167866 - A cancelled job through the Map Production System (MPS) application shows incorrect status and statusCode.
  • BUG-000167849 - The generateProduct operation incorrectly identifies outputName for invalid filename characters.
  • BUG-000166249 - Topographic Production Service generateProduct operation fails to get the area of interest (AOI) geometry when the AOI service is configured with a reverse proxy with GEOAxIS Authentication. 
  • BUG-000165267 - The secured service for the area of interest (AOI) layer in the generateProduct REST API operation returns an error under certain deployments.

Installing this patch on Windows

The ArcGIS product listed in the table must be installed on your system before you can install a patch. Each patch setup is specific to the ArcGIS product in the list. To determine which products are installed on your system, please see the How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed section. Esri recommends that you install the patch for each product that is on your system.


Step 1. Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.

     ArcGIS Server ArcGIS-112-S-PMTPS-Patch.msp

Step 2. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.

Step 3. Double-click ArcGIS-112-S-PMTPS-Patch.msp to start the setup process.

NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:

msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-112-S-PMTPS-Patch.msp


Uninstalling this patch on Windows

To uninstall this patch on Windows, open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to installed programs. Make sure that "View installed updates" (upper left side of the Programs and Features dialog) is active. Select the patch name from the programs list and click Uninstall to remove the patch.
