Description

Esri® announces the Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1 Enterprise Sites 2 Patch. This patch addresses multiple quality issues that includes anonymous users viewing the site and other incorrect behavior in ArcGIS Enterprise Sites. Esri recommends all customers using ArcGIS Enterprise Sites install this patch. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.

 

Issues Addressed with this patch

  • BUG-000119180 - Anonymously accessing an ArcGIS Enterprise site displays default thumbnails for publicly shared items
  • BUG-000118641 - Tag query configured for Category cards fail to return exact matches in ArcGIS Enterprise Sites.
  • BUG-000118401 - Unable to download a pdf from enterprise site with download button
  • BUG-000118385 - Editing a site's item details "Term of Use" section after the site has been created does not update the "Custom License" section within the ArcGIS Enterprise site.
  • BUG-000118281 - 'Create webmap' and 'View metadata' generates incorrect URLs when accessed anonymously in an ArcGIS Enterprise Site.
  • BUG-000118214 - The Category Link widget in ArcGIS Enterprise Sites does not show the correct URL when query by selected group
  • BUG-000118052 - The thumbnail for items added via Gallery card fails to load when the ArcGIS Enterprise Site is shared with everyone.

This patch is inclusive of the Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1 Enterprise Sites Patch:

  • BUG-000116641 - Search does not work on page items within ArcGIS Enterprise Sites.
  • BUG-000116386 - ArcGIS Enterprise Sites: when you attempt to access a secured site and are prompted to sign in, clicking the sign in button does nothing if the Portal is configured with anonymous access disabled
  • BUG-000116244 - Items that are not shared with the selected group also appear while configuring Category Card using a group within ArcGIS Enterprise Sites.
  • BUG-000116042 - Unable to login to sites administrator over HTTP.
  • BUG-000116001 - Remove reference to Open Data from ArcGIS sites in Portal for ArcGIS.
  • BUG-000115999 - Race condition for private web maps sometimes causes a ArcGIS API for JavaScript popup for credentials despite having a cookie.
  • BUG-000115998 - Missing CSS resource on JavaScript API pop-up messages for logins using sites in Portal for ArcGIS.
  • BUG-000115997 - Using the relative navigation to pages (per the documentation) results in broken links.
  • BUG-000115996 - Unable to chart data that is not anonymously shared.
  • BUG-000115995 - Internationalization is not functional on dataset page in ArcGIS Sites.
  • BUG-000115994 - In Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1, users cannot log-in to private sites on Internet Explorer 11.

 

Installing this patch on Windows

Installation Steps:

The ArcGIS product listed in the table must be installed on your system before you can install a patch. Each patch setup is specific to the ArcGIS product in the list. To determine which products are installed on your system, please see the How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed" section. Esri recommends that you install the patch for each product that is on your system.

  1. Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.

  2. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
  3. Double-click ArcGIS-1061-PFA-ES2-Patch.msp to start the setup process.

    NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:

    msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-1061-PFA-ES2-Patch.msp

 

Installing this patch on Linux

Installation Steps:

Complete the following install steps as the ArcGIS Install owner. The Install owner is the owner of the arcgis folder.

The ArcGIS product listed in the table must be installed on your system before you can install a patch. Each patch setup is specific to the ArcGIS product in the list. To determine which products are installed on your system, please see the How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed" section. Esri recommends that you install the patch for each product that is on your system.

  1. Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.

  2. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location, and that no one is using ArcGIS.
  3. Extract the specified tar file by typing:

    % tar -xvf ArcGIS-1061-PFA-ES2-Patch-linux.tar

  4. Start the installation by typing:

    % ./applypatch

    This will start the dialog for the menu-driven installation procedure. Default selections are noted in parentheses ( ). To quit the installation procedure, type 'q' at any time.
     

Uninstalling this patch on Windows

  • To uninstall this patch on Windows, open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to installed programs. Make sure that "View installed updates" (upper left side of the Programs and Features dialog) is active. Select the patch name from the programs list and click Uninstall to remove the patch.

 

Uninstalling this patch on Linux

  • Uninstalling on Linux is only available on version 10.5.1 or higher. To remove this patch, navigate to the /tmp directory and run the following script as the ArcGIS Install owner:

    ./patchremove

    Notes: You can only remove the patch that was installed most recently.
  • Restart your ArcGIS services

How to identify which ArcGIS products are installed
