ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 Manager Sharing Properties Patch

Published: April 4, 2017

Summary

This patch addresses errors encountered when viewing and updating the sharing properties of federated services in ArcGIS Server Manager.

Description

Esri® announces the ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 Manager Sharing Properties Patch. This patch addresses errors encountered when viewing and updating the sharing properties of federated services in ArcGIS Server Manager. When federated services are moved to folders in Portal for ArcGIS the sharing properties are displayed incorrectly in ArcGIS Server Manager. Duplicate service items are created when the federated service item is moved to a folder, in Portal for ArcGIS, and the sharing properties are updated in ArcGIS Server Manager. This patch deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch. Esri strongly recommends installation of this patch.

Issues Addressed with this patch

  • BUG-000099098 – When a federated map image layer, shared to Everyone, is moved to another folder in Portal for ArcGIS the sharing properties are displayed as Private in ArcGIS Server Manager.
  • BUG-000099099 – When a federated map image layer, unshared, is moved to another folder in Portal for ArcGIS and the sharing properties are updated in ArcGIS Server Manager to Everyone, duplicate map image layer items are created under the root folder on the federated Portal.
