Published: May 17, 2017

Summary

This patch resolves an erroneous “Insufficient permissions” message when accessing data in an Oracle geodatabase.

Description

Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.5 (Desktop, Engine, Server) Oracle Insufficient Permissions Error Patch. This patch addresses the issue identified on an Oracle geodatabase using ArcGIS 10.5. Either the data owner, or a user with object level privilege, such as "SELECT", "INSERT", "UPDATE" and "DELETE" receives an insufficient permissions error message when previewing or publishing data. This error occurs when privileges are either granted to users as well as roles assigned to those users, or to multiple roles assigned to the same user. It deals specifically with the issue listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.
